i have a 87 SAS toyota pickup with the 22r motor, with no power steering or AC. So i think i am in need of the power steering, especially if running 35s locked. So i have no knowledge of the whole power steering system. But is it possible to get all the components and bolt it up, or do i need a new steering box or something, thank you any info is greatlly appreciated.

yep, gotta swap steering boxes, but it's all bolt-on.

you'll need the pump, lines, bracket w/idler pulley and the cooler.

thats a bummer, just got my hands on a ifs steering box. What about a rock ram system, how much do those cost, is it possable to adapt my steering box over, so i dont need a new box???

PS what are most of you guys running stock steering, stock power steering, or rock ram???
thanks a bunch

most people run stock power steering, the few with hydro or hydro assist use that on trail only rigs that see very few mile on the road. Hydro steer is hard to handle at speed on the road. Some setups are getting better but for the most part they're for the hardcore rigs. just go to the junkyard and pull the whole PS system. shouldnt be too much
