Being raised a Chevy man (for the record I think all the domestics are about equal in reality) I can't resist pointing out that Ford trucks are often behind tow trucks so having a square driveshaft wouldn't be much of an issue.

Found On the Road Dead
Forward Only Rolling Downhill
F'd Over Rebuilt Dodge
Fixed Or Repaired Daily

I know a horrible one for Pontiac (that I won't post), but I can't remember ever hearing any for Chevy, Dodge or Toyota, has anyone else?

I can't imaging that a square driveshaft would be much cheaper than shortening the one you already have and I would expect it to induce terrible vibration on the road.  You might get a set of Swamper Boggers and then you might not notice.

That is new to me :)

While I was in college my friends and I had a good natured joke about who's truck was better.  The guy with the Ford swamped his motor one weekend and the Chevy towed him home (my truck wasn't big enough to pull the beast) and later in the year the Chevy got stuck overnight in the snow and a little Toyota came by in the morning and pulled him back on the road so by default, the Toyota was king.

I pull full size vehicles on a trailer on a regular basis with my single cab 4 cyl tacoma. Next time I pull something really big I will get a good pic and post it. It has 144K miles on it still with the original clutch I am still waiting on it to leave me on a roadside, but so far it has never even slipped.  :driving:

So much for selling my truck on this board now  :ha_ha:

I love this one.  A while back some friends and I went muddin when the lake was down.  My boss was boggin around in his full size cherokee with 35s and got stuck.  Who do you think pulled him out?  It was me in the little old toy.  Everybody gave him crap about it, and his response was always, "yea, I'm glad he was there too".  Consequently I somehow now own the tainted 35s...
