Wow, nice flex!!!!!!  The only thing I'm worried about now (other than getting the credit card bill after I order from Marlin  :yikes: ) is tire size.  Looks like your stuffing those 33's pretty good into the wheel wells.  I really want to run at least 36 iroks if not 37's or 38's.  Looks like I will have to trim a ton to fit those tires.  Would I be better off with the 5 inch springs and 1 inch taller shakles guys?

thanks for posting more pictures, you have put the nail in the coffin for me buying that kit  :turtle:

:werd: Thats the way I look at it. I'd rather spend some dollars and have pile of new parts that are tried and true to work together than jack around with junkyard parts that I need to manipulate with the hammer to go under my truck.

that is also why I bought it and didn't have time to go junk yard to junk yard to pull a bunch of stuff to use

Yeah...I have 36 Iroks and I have run into that problem:  we'll see what sister sledge has to say.  If not, brother grinder-with-cutting-wheel might be called upon!

Do you have any pics of what the trail flex kit looks like with the 36" Iroks?  I'm thinking that's going to be my setup as well.

Nice, I forgot about those pics  :smack:   I've got some quesitons, you posted that you have the 5" springs in the rear for the weight and 4" springs in the front.  Does it sit level?  Have you had the top off of it yet with that setup?  Do you have any tire clearnace issues, major rubbing, major trimming?  What size shackles did you go with?  Did you need to have the rear driveshaft lengthened?

I dont take the top off so no. Uhhhhhh I had to take marlins 5's off & go w/ some other old 5's couse I am a family wheeler & I dont know how to pack light so I had to give up a little flex to go for stronger springs. $runners are heavy & when you add 4 adults all there stuff & a trailer & a cargo carrier on the top its kinda crazy.
I did have to trim alot both front & rear. I think my shackles are 6.5" yes I did change the length on the d.s.
still w/ the stronger springs the only time it ever sits level is when it is empty.
Oh & I have a 15 gal. rear tank also.

Nothing wrong with a little weight on Marlin 4" springs...

As always, love the pics 808!  Which length shocks are you running front & rear?  Anybody think that the marlin 5" springs would be too much lift on a 4Runner with 36" Iroks?  From looking at those pics, it seems like I've have to trim a bunch out of the rear just to get them to fit.

Running 4" springs...they put out the 5" springs 3 weeks or so after my order...so sad...

I'm running 33 x 12.5 x 15 tires with 12" shocks front and rear.  May opt to 14" through the bed later, but totally happy with the front as is...for now...still wondering about the 36 action...grind! grind! grind! or hammer...

mudaddict

ill get some pics tomorrow when i am finally done im putting the 5 in springs under my runner tonight and should be on the trail tomorrow. i just dropped my drive line off to get a lil longer how long did everyone else go i went 3 inches not sure how it will work but i will see im not done with my sas yet so i couldnt take any measurements hope it works. i have a 92 runner with 33's and the 5 in springs so lets hope they flex

All right gang...on the topic of Trail Flex Kits...I know I checked with MArlin already, but has anyone actually dropped in Marlin 5's in place of EXISTING Marlin 4's ???     :help:

I am going to SEMA in a month and just might bring home 5's if there is no problems...

Thanks in advance!
