Axle`s, what do they weigh ?
« on: Jul 23, 2005, 05:39:11 PM »
Does anybody know where I can find a website on what a toy axle complete weighs :muscles:, and dana axles.
I`am looking to compare toy truck axles to dana 60 axle weights.

complete stock 4cyl with tierod about 220
D60...
Weight, fully dressed  single wheel front Chevy 60 complete, locking  hub to hub 518lbs
Weight, fully dressed  single wheel front Ford RC 60 complete, locking  hub to hub 460-480lbs

That should be abut what you are looking for.
IFS is best kept at ambient temperature in a pile of scrap in the backyard.  When kept under a functioning vehicle, it tends to greatly diminish said vehicle's offroad ability.     -reklund5
