old news, the immediate area around the lake is closed.
but there is still camping allowed around the sluice area.
the signs have been up for a while now marking the closed off area.
you can still walk to the lake, just no rigs up there.

Yup, all they did was extend the closure that was already in-effect. It's the usual tactics once it's closed it takes ten times the effort to get it back open.

They closed it for no reason too.  The tests they did should very little damage to the lake itself from people's crap.  You can still camp around spider just can't drive past the red stakes.  sucks becasue now we can't play around in V-Rock.  :(

Just another good example of us screwing it up for ourselves, and them taking the ball and running away with it and refusing to give it back. If we'd think before we did these things we'd have a leg to stand on, but since there are some that don't care we will continue to be forced into smaller and smaller areas of opertunity which just fouls up those areas more so that they can again use that reason to close the next area. I don't enjoy hauling my poop out just like you but we have been confined to these smaller and smaller areas that it is an issue. Used to be able to just dig a hole and bury it when you were finished but because of the amount of people in an area and the fact that they are not even covering their tracks, and even leaving the paper behind and on top of that right next to a body of water...... then you wonder why it got closed.
