I bought a birf eliminator kit and it came with 2 brass bushings, I think that they go behind the axle seals, but the problem with that is that there is nothing the hold it from falling back into the axle.

Does anyone know if this is where the bushing goes?  :dunno:  If so, how does it stay in place?

I need to get my axle and it doesn't seem to be working out for me. :smack:

As far as I know, the only brass bushings go into the backside of the spindle...they're just pressed in.

Ok, thanks.. I never even noticed that.

Also, behind the axle seals is there a bushing or a bearing for the axle to run on?

thats where it goes,,thats why you need to carry a spare bif elim axle with you or a spindle and toy axle with you for spares..the toy axle won't fit through the spindle with the bushing..

Yea, that sucks... but I hope I won't have a problem with breakage.

Now all I need to do is get someone to install my 5.29's

Oh, ok.. thanks mr4x42u, I have been trying to figure this out for awhile. I guess I'll just put it together without one then.

there's no bushing, but there is a metal chinga thing in there...only purpose i can see would be to help keep gear oil away from the seal, and to help align the axle when installing it.

Ok, thanks... I just thought there might be a bushing the to keep the axle aligned, but I guess that is not the case.

I appreciate all the help
