The new Toys
« on: Jul 08, 2005, 04:43:44 PM »
The blue one is the 87 my buddy bought for $700.  It has a 3" lift.  The 33"s that were on it are bald, which is why it has scrawny stock tires on it now.

The white one is a 83 that I bought for $150, it runs.  It's my new trail rig that I'm in the process of ripping apart to build a new frame for a 4-link front and back.  It has a 5" lift and 33"s.

The red one is my daily driver.

My buddy decided to pose.

We're going to repaint the bed on the blue one, and throw on the matching fender flares.  The original bed on it wouldn't pass inspection anymore.

Yeah, we're repainting his bed.  I'm glad mine doesn't have a bed, just more to hassle with when I tear it down to link it.

Like my insta-weed-be-gone?  Hell, I had about 5 gallons of it.  Took only a few hours to kill the grass.  We had the big light in the background setup.  Worked all through the night until about 9am, then went to bed.

I'll just list it out:

- Build new frame
- 4-link front and back
- 10 point roll cage tied into somewhat of an exo cage
- 40" tires

I'm part owner of a drag racing chassis shop, so if it turns out good, I may be marketing some things for the Toyota world after this build up.
