I bought my 88 EFI X-Cab with a Tuff Country 4'' lift. It is really stiff. What can i do to put the cush back in my ride? 26MM torq bars? New shocks? The back is the worst. It has blocks. Are new springs the answer?

lose the blocks for sure. there :stopit:shocks don't really make the ride hard.(for the most part) its the spring factor that makes the ride hard. as for what to use on an 88:dunno: sorry can't help there.
A good day working, that's just sick :reg:

You need to get rid of the Tuff Country completlely :headshake:, u need a whole new suspension, u should get waggy springs front and rear, they flex pretty good.  They are pretty cheap to.

If I understand your set up, the rear lift is comprised of
stock springs with 3" lift blocks.
The stock springs on these trucks sag and the bump stop ends up being really close to the leaf pack severely limiting upward travel.  You end up hitting bumpstops on the smallest of bumps. New rear lift springs are the answer if this is the case.

As for the front, larger torsion bars will increase the spring rate over stock bars. It may seem a bit counter intuitive that these would ride softer.  However the larger bar will provide lift with less preload which may solve your problem.
Depending on finances, a new (higher quality) lift may provide the answer your after.
Hope this is of help,
