Topic: trailer wanted

hey guys i just got the 85 4runner but i need a trailer for it. I am  not sure on size my trucks have always been daily drivers this will be my first specific trail rig and i am think 16' to 18' any sujestion. I was looking for a used one but found a pretty good deal on new ones so i may bite the bullet and go for it. iam looking at this one in the link tell me what you think.

If you get the 18' you can use the extra 2 feet to mount a tool box for all your spare parts.

yeah its has breaks on one axle and the price is $1625 brand new. no i can add the brakes to the second axle for $155. I was hoping to find a used one but it seems everyone is trying to get what they paid for them or the trail is a POS. I would like to be able to mount a box and a winch on the front.

I see trailers like that for sale used and decent for about half that.  If you need it now go for it, but if you can hold off patience might pay off.

I have been looking for trailers for a few months.I was hoping to pay half that but everything i see around here is much more and this price is a 3hr drive to get that. which sucks

Price is not too bad. Things I don't like: brakes on single axle (you already said you could add the other set), 16' dovetail will leave you only about 12-13' of deck, and the fact that a 18' pulls so much nicer. If you can hold out, you should be able to find a decent one within 3 hrs. of you for $1000 or less.
