Last night I wired my trailer to my suburban and let me tell you I am not a electrician.  I could not get my trailer lights to work as far as just the parking lights and i was told that i could run a wire from the positive side of my battery all the way back and hook it up for a constant power, but when I did that I burnt ny finger and melted the wire :maddest: .  Pissed me off, so i ripped that wire out and tossed that idea.  I eventually got them to work. :acclaim:  I am now an electricaly chalenged individual     So why the hell did that idiot tell me it would work? :headscratch:

why would ya go all that way, just tap into your existing wiring...

Basically turn on blinkers and use test light to find wire, turn on headlights and use test light, etc..
