Turn signal question
« on: Jun 01, 2005, 02:21:25 PM »
I am hooking up the rear oem signals in my truck and I can't get the turn sianals to flash. The hazards flash. When I try to make one side flash I hear one click and the light stays on. Why would hazards flash and not left or right? I don't have front signals hooked up yet. I'm pretty sure it is grounded good enough. Anyone ever run into this.

Hook up the turn signals in the rear and they'll work fine.
Full hydro, 186:1 with an auto and 44's what could go wrong??

The rears are hooked up. Do I need the fronts as well? Seems like the flasher relay is ok since the hazards work.

I have the opposite problem, my turn signals work just fine, but my hazards dont work.
Make a light bulb tester (easier than hooking everything up to test it).

OK first, unless you have a big $ electronic flasher you need at least two bulbs hooked up to make it "flash".
and the turn sig. and the has. lights use diffrent flashers.
A good day working, that's just sick :reg:

Make sure you've got the correct bulbs in there.  Just 'cause they fit, don't mean they're the right ones.  You need 1157's I believe!  I see it lots at work- someone will stick an 1156 in there or something....

Thanks for the help. Before when I tested it with fronts and rears my bulbs were bad. With good 1156s they flash. I think I am street legal now. I'm Not sure about fender laws in South Carolina.
