transfer shifter

i have  a 3" body lift on my 1990 toy i had to replace the tranny with a g series till i can find a w series an i noticed the shifters run into each other in low range , is there fix for this i tired  turning  the transfer shiter around an it hits the bench seat .

No, Not really... Don't try to heat it up with a torch because there is a rubber insoluter inside of the handle and you will ruin it.

If the length of smaller dia. rod (between the ball joint and the actual black handle) is long enough to bend, then that's where you need to make your bend.

Otherwise you would have to cut that smaller dia rod, and get some more material to weld onto it to make it an offset (dogleg) shifter.

got it fixed all you have to do is add a 3 in. nipple from your local hardware store  to your shifter  an thats it . it raises it back up to where it should be an shifts great

Your best bet is to bend your shifter.

you can rotate the transfer case shifter 180 degrees, it had to do this when i installed a triple case
