When setting up the ring gear is it possible to use an oven instead of an oil bath to expand the ring?
85 x-cab, 22re, welded rear, 5.29's, marlin high steer, front axle forward 2", rear moved forward 9", ARB hilux bull bar, flatbed and 37's on the works

sure why not?  I do the same for timing gears all the time.
Full hydro, 186:1 with an auto and 44's what could go wrong??

I would use a bar-b-que. Makes it stink outside instead of inside and easier to clean.
