runner running rough

my 87 efi 4-runner was running great up until today. i took it and sprayed the engine with castrol super clean and then hosed it down. no it feels like it is caughing when i hit the gas, has no power, and idles at like 400 rpms. anybody have any idea what it could be??

did you get water or something else in the distributer

I also say chek the distributor, any kind of condensation inside the cap will cause that sort of problem. Did you let it idle enough to heat up the engine bay to dry everything off???

you have a vacuum line off somewhere

i haven't checked the distributor yet, but i did find a vacumn leak.  it was at the top of the intake manifold where there is a little plug with three ports in it.  one of the ports didnt have anything plugged into it so it was obviously leaking, but i couldnt find where it woud have gone to so i just plugged it and it didnt fix it so i am kind of stumped.

Did you get the aircleaner wet? Did you spray the throttle position sensor wet, that thing has silicon around it for a reason and only protects you from rain. If you sprayed it directly with a hose you can easily screw it up. Run it at an idle let it evaporate any water out it may take some time.

check distributor and sparks.. mine did something like that to when i would get it up on high rpm.  that what i replaced on mine then it ran like a champ all over again.
