check this out so i totaled my truck...

Body: recently i was in a crazy accident where i was stoped at a red light and was rear ended at 45 - 65 mph my truck fliped 2-3 times and went through a brick wall. currently i am fine, look forward to many pics and updates cming soon, umm i lost my fone in the accident so if you wanna get a hold of me call my moms cell at 562 760 7284 and i will be more than happy to tell you about it. to all my dorm mates see you soom, i am at a friends house re cooperating. thanks

and the only reason i survived i think was because of GOD cause the entire cab as crushed in the roll over, and i stand here typing this with only one cut on each hand and a mild concussion...

Sorry to hear about your crash...God must really love yota drivers, I was rear-ended back in march by a drunk doing about 100mph. I walked away with a few scratches as well.

Count your blessings and start the painful process of stripping the salvagable parts. Some of my dead yota parts will live again in my new 94.

What was the drivers excuse for hitting you?

i dont think he ever saw me he was by eyewitness account looking down talking on his cell phone. he never hit the breaks, there were not even skid marks

Damn that's rough glad you are ok. I know what you mean about being lucky.
My G/F Rolled my 95 pathfinder at 55 mph with my 3 kids in the car all of them in car seats.
She hit some black ice on the road it looked somewhat like your truck afterwards.
She had a concushion too and part of her ear was cut and she needed stitches.
My kids were all fine my daughter had some facial cuts from broken glass she was on the side that the door folded down she was really lucky she wasn't thrown out..

The highlift jack took most of the roll over and prevented most of the cab from caving in.

I really am starting to hate cell phone drivers I have seen so many near miss accidents because of them.
In Febuary G/F was hit in her Honda Prelude she was stopped at a red light the other driver in the Sunfire was doing 35mph and plowed right into her.
I am unsure if they were on the cell phone but she didn't even stop so she was distracted by something if she didn't see the red light.
She totalled our car and hers.

Is there anything salvagable on your truck you can use on your next one?

Damn that sucks glad your OK. looked like a nice truck. I got smacked at a stop by someone doing 35 and the result was nothing like that but they did go under my truck so that lessened the impact but I still had to do 6 months in physical therapy. Good luck and take full advantage of medical recovery, I did and still have ocassional problems w/ my neck.

dirtbag

dude, count your blessings, seriously. Glad to have you alive still, man. Sheetmetal is replaceable, flesh isn't.

Huhwhye

I'm glad your o.k.  But the pain may take a few days to kick in.

Stupid people not paying attention.  I was rearended last year by a woman not watching the road.  Same thing she didn't even touch her brakes.  Was turned around and watching her baby.

That guy could have killed you.

Dang, thats crazy. Glad you made it out good. Too bad your truck is all fagged out though. Does it still run or did the wreckage push the front of it into the motor?

Glad you're okay bro, God was with you on that one.

I hate drivers who don't pay attention.  The other day I was driving down the road and I got beside this guy who had the newspaper spread across his steering wheel, I actually even watched him flip the page.  At the stop light I started yelling at him callin' him everything in the book.  Just because you're so important, doesn't mean you have to risk other's lives.

oh yeah, im not a sue happy person but given the circumstance, I would seek a lawsuit, especially if your hurt. You may have issues further down the line, you dont have to sue the guy, just go after his insurance company. This isnt some petty slip on the wet floor at mcdonalds, he was being idiot and could have killed you because of it.

i went to st jude in fullerton.

I was born in that hospital...! Tried to make out where the accident happened, but it's been years since I was there and things change so I couldn't recognize the area.

Man that was an accident. I'm glad your doing OK. that POS Denali should be paying your medical bills, and buy you a new truck.

Sorry for your misfortune,

Erik

umm it happened  on Stata College at the intersection of Rolling Hills or something. it was on State college between Yorba Linda and Imperial. i was heading north so the brick wall on the corner of state college and rolling hills is gone. thats cool you were born there, i go to Cal state fullerton and live in the dorms, im back now ready for school on wed. but i drive by the hospitol ever other day, never thought  i would end up there.

Cheesemaker

Glad you ok!  You're glad you had a lift in your truck, cause it hit the frame and under it, if you didn't it might have shoved the whole box right into the back of the cab!    Make sure you have all your receipts for everything you put into your truck, so when they try to settle with ya they know what the truck is really worth, not just a factory model.  They are going to try to screw you on what it's worth.  Those bumpers aren't cheap!  Make sure you stand your ground on that and be firm, don't let them bully you!  Get it figured out now, what it would take to get a truck like the one you had and set to the way it was, and the condition it was in!

Get a lawyer to go over your options with, find out how long the file stays open, incase you guys settle everything in a couple weeks, and in three months you have physical problems resulting from the wreck.  A friend of mine had a mild concussion, and a year later he was having problems from the accident that caused it, and in the settlement there was a clause about a three month period that ins would cover all bills , and after that the victim was solely responsible for all medical bills!!  So, be very aware of everything and make sure your 120% OK before signing or accepting anything.  You should also be able to talk your ins agent (if you have a local one) about what to expect to happen in the settlement!   Hopefully this helps ya!  Get some rest, your probably going to be sore for awhile!!!!
Miss ya Dean (4THEWKN) & Kyle (KYOTA)!!

1) Glad you're ok
2) Sorry about your rig! It looked like a sweet machine!

Unbelievable that you walked away.

Thankgoodness you didn't have a passenger in there, like your gf/wife/mother/etc.

Didn't you hit your head? I guess you got knocked to the passengers side and were kind'of laying down across the shifters? How tall are you? That's madness :nerv:

Hope everyone in his truck was ok. Man ppl gotta pay attention. Driving is a huge responsibility.

This is definately motivating me to put a rollcage in my truck sooner than I was planning.

im 5 11 and i put a bench seat in it from an old dodge mini pu so i had about an inch or to above my head normally so i alwas hit my head on it. i had planed to put a cage in it this summer once my buddy got the bender and welder all hooked up.

RHG

Wow, that looks like it was a scary ride. I rolled my Camaro a couple years ago and it happens soo fast you dont remember much. Some lady pulled out of a shopping center and plowed into my rearend pushing the car into a curb and the tire grabbed sending the car right over on its lid. Snapped the wheel and flange right off the axle shaft. :headshake: It had t-tops too and they somehow didnt break. I miss that car :rivers: Its sure nice having the big guy watching over you when stuff like this happens.  Good luck with the recovery and make sure you get something out of it.

$2.25 a month for uninsured motorist coverage is a DAMNED good investment.  Saved my bacon before..
Full hydro, 186:1 with an auto and 44's what could go wrong??

guywithuglyyota

yes it is, In CA its the law to have insurance, AND to have uninsured motorist coverage. Thats what paid for my truck. Sucks paying a company just in case something
happens, but I suppose its peace of mind.
