I did my first big organized event. The Tinbenders put on a great festival of rockcrawling.
I signed up for Outer Limits, and soon found myself on the gnarliest trail I think I've done in 20 years.
I got to meet some great folks.  Dave, our trailboss, walked more than drove, and proved to be a talented spotter. Holly, a young wheeler who has a knack for reading the trail, and I might add, did a smooth job of spotting me over a tough section.
Angelo and his wife Candy, were a pleasure to be around and great people to wheel with. Angelo dove under my truck with me to fix my slip yoke and noticed my front u-bolts needed tightening after the shims worked their way out. He had the socket on the nuts before I finished the slip yoke.
I've wheeled with Eric before, he's fearless. Got to meet his Dad. Cool guy.
Chris was walking the trail getting some good shots, the camera in one hand and helping out with the Hi-lift on Dan's (?) Profield repair with the other. My hand is fine, just a little blood Chris :)
I don't remember all your names, but I enjoyed meeting and wheeling with you all.
We were out there for 11 hrs. Some carnage, a lot of fun.
My wife, who doesn't usually enjoy long off camber days, actually enjoyed her time in the truck wheeling and enjoyed meeting some new folks and walking the trail to see how the truck looks, doing what it does.
One guy was having a tough day, but I think he had a good time. He flipped, broke and got dragged over the falls, but said it was the most fun three wheeling he ever had.
Some Heeps got stuck and broke, in between our group, then somebody wanted to move the front procession along, but just caused more havoc.  Eventually, order was restored and we all made it back to camp for the burgers and raffle.
I will try to post some pics in a couple days.

That is the trail I signed up for, didn't make, due to work and going over seas. Anyway wish I was there sounds like it was a good trip.

I can't wait to go wheeling.

Yup, Holly's pretty amazing. She's the best female driver I've ever seen and she's only like 16 (?)

Gotta love that necklace

Hootman took some shots, I posted here. http://www.msnusers.com/Marlinssite
Friday I took a little ride up Sledge. I popped the slip yoke out for the first time of 4 that weekend. The red runner was being towed down after breaking a transfer case! The blue 'yota was first time wheelin' ,I think he said.
Jeeps passed us as I made a trail repair. A broken what? Can you say Birfield?
On his SUV run Hootman took some pics, three didn't post. Last one is bonfire.
