clearancing t-case for 4.7 gears
« on: Apr 22, 2005, 08:14:24 PM »
I will be rebuilding my t-case with midgetmike this week, and will be installing 4.7 gears.  I know the housing has to be clearanced to make them fit.  For those of you who have done this, what tools did you use, or did you have a machine shop do it?  Just trying to get prepared so I can get'r done fast.  Thanks for any advice!

I used an air tool with a grinding bit type thing.  You don't have to take that much out really.  i have heard people using angle grinders to do it.  these are the best instructions i have seen so far on how to install the gears.

Die grinder with a round grinding stone for me. I've heard of people using 4" angle grinders as well.
