1987 4x4 automatic 4 cyl pickup transmission transfer case Help

I'm new to the forum so please forgive me if this has been covered. The problem I'm having is I bought a 87 Toyota 4x4 automatic 4 cylinder pickup and dolly towed it home which explains my transmission/ transfer case question. I'm having the transmission/ transfer case rebuilt the person rebuilding it cannot get the cases apart so I'm trying to find a donor case , when he removed the transmission he discovered it came out of a 88 4 runner he tells me that there are no cooling lines coming from the transfer case but the only one I can find for a 87 show cooling lines what do I have and what do I need. I'm also told the only year auto transmission's that will fit are 87-88 please help I'm at a loss at this point
