It sure looks like rain but, rain doesn't like to fall here in the San Fernando Valley, we only got 6" of rain for the whole season. It's the start of another mega drought here in So Cal.
My 85's windshield wipers work but, I only needed them for rain once this past season.
Rain, it's a wet subject elsewhere

I revamped my wardrobe tonight and picked up three new pairs of dress pants. I am finally admitting that my old ones are a bit too small. I will admit that even though I recognize that pant sizes vary among brands going with 36/30 makes me feel short and fat since 32/32 was my most common size for years.

It's been a weekend full of first world automobile problems.

I was scheduled for AV for my church yesterday (half the team) and immediate after leaving the house the car flashed every warning light and displayed every message that it knows. I ended up going back home only to find that the 4Runner's battery was dead from sitting. My wife got ready faster than planned so we could all go in the Sequoia. It was already too late to help with the initial setup and thanks to some Windows updates that happened last week all of the streaming setting were a mess and neither of us really know how to fix those types of issues. We survived and managed to stream the main service.  My father-in-law gave me and the kids a ride home because my wife and mother-in-law were heading out on a birding adventure down close to Portland. I managed to get the 4Runner jumped with the neighbors power pack and after charging it over night it seems to be back to normal. I replaced the battery in the Acura and it seems to be good again as well. My wife's currently coming back via AAA because the Sequoia overheated and seems to have a leak that's more than a hose. To the mechanic it goes!  Glad we have the 200 mile coverage with AAA.

Going to start installing the new engine and transfer case adapter. Is the replacement of the adapter with the new one just an u-bolt and bolt the new one in?

If your staying with the same spline count, I'd think it is.

A question, how do I remove the baffle in my valve cover so I can clean under there?

I'm sad to see you leave WA. I hope you make a killing on your sale! I lived in for a few years, and graduated high school just outside of Tampa. Florida is wild and a lot of fun.

I will miss the people I know here but my grandkids are there. Headed to Daytona Beach.

I forgot how much work in cleaning and painting is involved putting a new engine in the 4runner. I haven't done one in 12 years
