My truck was stolen the morning of 4/15/24 at approximately 5:30am from University Heights area of San Diego.
This was a one owner truck that was stolen from directly in front of my apartment, almost certainly targeted.

Distinguishing features:
- Blue and rusty - mainly at the top of the cab
- T-top sun roof
- 35" tires
- 4" springs
- All-pro front bumper
- Marlin rear bumper

Please keep an eye out, call the cops if spotted and message me.

jhempsey,

Sorry to read about your loss. :disturbed:

Vehicle theft today is on the rise.  It's a sickening reality.

Early Toy pickups and 4Runners are getting scarce.

Most of them stolen will be across the Mexican border in just a few days.

The chances of seeing it again are slim to none.

If you file a claim with your insurance company, I suggest you research and provide documents to your insurance company of the current street value of a 1985 Toyota pickup.
Your insurance company will tell you your 1985 pickup isn't worth much.

An anti-theft device is must today.

Installing a difficult to defeat or detect device is worth whatever it costs if you want to prevent a theft.

If a thief wants your vehicle bad enough, every anti-theft device can be defeated or by-passed.

Good luck,

Gnarls. :usa:

Hopefully not targeted for Mexico or beyond, the cartels love Toyota's for their durability and common parts. Let's hope it headed North or East and will be found, I'll keep an eye up here.

Thanks guys, I appreciate it.

Yeah, at this point it's all should've, would've, could've - I'd take the coil wire off when I'd go out of town but never did an ignition cut and fuel pump cut was never an option with the mechanical pump, could've gone with a manual valve but of course too late now.
I live in a pretty safe neighborhood, I had no hard feelings about even leaving my bike on the street and there's about a dozen other bikes on the surrounding blocks too. There is even another six or so mid 80's to 90's yota's in the area but yeah safe neighborhoods only go so far.
