Hey Guys
I bought an 86 Pickup a few months back. I purchased it with the plans to build a one of truck. The frame was in typical shape for a truck living in Eastern Canada. I traded a 99 4Runner I had to a friend for a new 2000 Tundra frame. My plan is to shorten and thin then frame to work with my reg cab truck. I have cut the frame and have already started putting in new cross members. Been taking pictures so I will be posting lots in the future. My plan is

1986 Pickup with a 22re swap
2000 4door Tundra frame
1985 solid front axle with Chevy 63" swap in rear.

I will be making all of the spring mounts, body mounts, cross members and all the other modifications myself.
Looking forward to building this and sharing with the forum. Thanx

Yeah. I got a bunch of photos already. I had to cut 25 1/2" out of the frame rails. I the removed all the factory cross members. I had to thin the frame by 10 inches. Used the factory transmission cross member as a starting point. Cut 5" out of each side and went from there.

Next I removed all the body mounts and the have been moved forward 6" to make them line up. I am not going to use the factory body mounts on the cab. My plan is to weld in 2x5" tubing for the rockers and put the body mounts on those.

Can you make a build thread in the "Project Research and Build-Ups" sub-forum? I'm very interested in following this.
You can also upload your photos to Imgur and embed them here.

Will be going with small 35" tires. It's all you need here in New Brunswick

I have an ARB air locker for the rear. Leaving the front open.

More pics and the new frame being cut in half to take 25 1/2" out. Started welding all the holes closed so it's sealed.
