I run 35 PSI on 33/12.50 on the street and 10 to 15 PSI on the trail. Also depends on the difficulty, if it is an easier trail I may run it at 30 PSI so I don't have to air up at the end of the trail.

Recently on the taco, 38/35.  Ran as high as 55/50 this summer chasing double digit mpg.  Found the tires were losing too much corner grip for my driving style so I dropped around 40/37.  With the recent snow I think I am at 28/25 right now

Sorry for the late response.  Lt285/75r16 cooper evolution mt on an 07 dc taco.  They do ok on the road and pretty well in the rain but are absolute garbage in our slushy snow!  Even when creeping along slowly well before an intersection, I slid past the crossing lane on flat ground and had to switch lanes on a slight downhill to avoid rear ending a ram at another intersection.

Needless to say, I will run em through the summer but will NOT be running them next winter.

This about where I have found to work the best for street.

In my '85 shortbed daily driver, weighing only 3200 lbs, I ran 25 front and 20 in the rear with 33's, unless loaded for camping.

If I were driving on-highway in snow or icey road conditions, I'd be running at 15 lbs. empty - 25 if loaded.

I'm running 24 PSI with the 40s on the LJ.

On Monday I had Discount Tire put a new set of Yokohama YK-GTX All Season tires on my 2013 Corolla.

I had them replace 3 pressure sensors as well.  In April one of the sensors was replaced, and last week the low-pressure light came on, and they found another sensor that had failed.

I checked the air pressure this morning and I was surprised that the psi was between 25 and 28 PSI, not consistent per tire.

The Toyota factory sticker on the inside of the door says recommended 32 PSI.  I pumped them up to my usual PSI at 30 front and 28 rear.  The Max PSI on these tires is 51 PSI.

What pressures are you guys usually running on your street vehicles and why?

UPDATE 8-23-2024 at 7:00PM.

I was thinking about the PSI being low, using my old dial pressure gauge, after checking the pressure that Discount Tire had set.

I bought a pair of Etenwolf digital tire pressure gauge.  It is accurate to a 10th of a pound.

Well!!!  I am surprised that my old (probably 20 years old) dial pressure gauge is so far off.

The Etenwold gauge measured 35.5, 35.3, 34.5, 34.5.

So the pressure that Discount Tire set after they mounted the new tires was probably close to correct.

Tomorrow morning I'll adjust the pressure with the Etenwolf to 30/28 and take it for spin down the freeway.
