List updated!!

Last year we set a new on-time Registration Record at 224 rigs, and this year we hit 223! There may be some lingering registrations still coming in via mail, and if so we'll get the list updated. This is great, especially considering how last year we gave an extra week to get registrations in. Please no forest fire and can't wait to see you all next month on the Rubicon!!

BigMike

Yes sir! I made the cut.  :yesnod: #80 can't wait!

I cant wait!  This will be my first time doing MCR but not my first time through the Rubicon.  I'd be interested in joining another group before heading out.  1994 SAS 4runner, dual cases 2.28/4.7, locked front and rear on 35's.  My son and I have been building it for a couple years and he's been welding on it since he was 14.  Let me know if you've got a group with room for more!

We were thinking of starting on Thursday to just camp wherever we feel like pulling over and then making the drive to the Springs on Friday.  We are still working things out in our head so open to other options also.  I saw the link posted for groups and will go check that one out now.

Looking at that thread, it doesn't look like any groups have been identified.  Is there a link I'm missing or something?

List updated! Official Count: 235 rigs! :o :o

I strongly advise getting to the Springs as early as you can to get decent camping, because my guess is they'll be over 300 rigs come Saturday evening :camping:

We know of at least two groups that will be camping at the Springs as early as Tuesday.

Best case: Get to the Springs before Friday.
Otherwise: Come with a patient mindset

The mosquito fire is roughly 20 to 25 miles away as the crow flies from loon lake and hell hole. The caldor fire traveled 20 miles in 3 days. Luckily the wind has been good here.

Are you in any danger? Sure hope they can get a handle on this one. Man just really sucks seeing the forest and communities being burned up year after year!

Good news. Well hopefully they get it together and we can still have the event. Not looking good though. Just the air quality alone could be a deal breaker.

I hate to say it, but I told you so. Sucks because I already had the time off and was ready to go.
