Well here is my first SAS.(wish me luck )

Started off getting an 85 donor and rebuilt it.
snuggled in a set of 5.29 gears but left it open for now, but it will get an ARB locker in the future. the rear is getting the ARB first. Almost finished with the axle but i needed Marlins steer arm's. So i ordered a SAS kit for the front and Marlins set up for the rear. WOW that was a chunk of  :twocents: . But i think its going to be worth every bit of it.

Will post pictures of the patient and the donor axle.
Any suggestions or tips will be well appreciated

Looks like your truck has sprung a little leak in the front. Or is it just marking that spot so it won't get lost? That's what mine does.

Today i almost finished the Donor. Just need to rebuild the calipers and put on the crossover steering.  :beerchug:

Anthony

Also started to strip some of the IFS off the front to get it ready to be  :flamer: off.

Anthony

Got Marlin springs for the front and rear. The only problem is that i think they will look better on the truck instead of on the floor. :hammerhead::eyebrow:

Hyena

Yep, and that crossmember is ussually welded to the front of the frame.  But i guess yours is detachable!

Here is the Complete Donor axle. Now just need to start cutting the old junk off. :flamer:

Get to work! We want more pics! Nice job so far.

Axle looks great.  Only thing I would suggest is to cut down or remove the dust shields.  They can trap rocks between them and the rotors.  It's also a lot easier to clean the rotors with them gone.

4DEES

DAMN! that axle looks bad @ss! keep us posted.

Spent the day cutting :flamer:  the IFS out and filling holes and grinding the frame. Everything seems to be going together with out trouble. (Knock on wood) :hammerhead: Still need to cut the holes in the frame for the rear shackles and weld on the front hanger.
I still have a :pokinit: load of work to do. :smack:  :rivers:
Here is more pics
