Topic: headlight upgrade

I noticed yesterday that marlin sells a removable bulb headlight kit for 84-89 4runner and other vehicles and I was wondering if anyone has an experience with them either good or bad

if you are talking about the vision x kit i have them and like them.

I don't really have anything to compare to other than stock so there may be something better out there.

I have the H4 upgrade kit that rockauto sells (round lights for an '81) and I was impressed at the improvement.
I was also reading on 4crawler that the factory harness can have a volt or two drop to the headlights, running thicker wires to the headlights can give a dramatic light output improvement. I need to measure mine and maybe try that out.

EDIT: My headlights are RAMPAGE 5089925, found the invoice but Rockauto doesn't carry them anymore.

I have Bosch h4 headlights in mine. 55w low beam & 130w high beam. They are much brighter than the originals. I just bought the higher watt bulbs separate.
