I'm wondering if anyone can point me in the direction of or share any maps showing off road trails, fire roads etc in the Socal/ Ca area?

Hey Clonman123,

Your post is old now ... but I was just wondering...

Did you find a source for topo maps?

I spent lots of money at the Wide World Maps store in Tempe, AZ.

I have large collection of topo maps but they are packed away in a box somewhere in my storage area... probably not readily found.

Back in the late 70's when I started off-roading, I bought lots of topo maps.  I spent many hours studying the areas and roads, trails, fire roads, I wanted to explore.

Most topos were fairly accurate, and some were not so accurate and not update for many years.  The monsoon season here in AZ, for example, could radically change the condition of an off-highway road.
