Hey guys, newbie to the group. I Put a 3rz into my 4 runner, i am having one hell of a time with it trying to get it to start , been messing with it for a month now on my spare time
I used a adapter harness from a "local" guy that does these swaps alot. The harness is getting power to where it needs to go, I have verified all the tests he instructed me to do so to make sure the harness isn't the problem.
I am getting no CEL at all on turn key, no spark signal to the coils ( 2 coil 3rz) I am getting voltage to the other wire that needs it. Just no signal. And I am also not able to connect to the ecu with a scanner. Fuel is there not an issue .
I have searched all over the web for similar issues and none seem to give me any solutions that I have tried.
I went through engine grounds 5 times sanding and re trying... nothing.
I even wasted 180$ on an ecu (matching numbers ecu ) today to find no change.
At this point I am desperate to get this truck running before the snow flies and Start my SAS.
Does anyone have any information that could lead to my symptoms? I do not believe it is my wire harness wiring and I must be missing something stupid and simple.
