Howdy all.

Used to own an 85 4runner. Sold.it. regretted it.

Stumbled across an 85 4x4 truck in decent shape for a good price. It's now sitting on the property. Thought my son and I could fix it up together. We will see.

Currently interested in a non running 83 4x4 for our other son.

What's a good price for an 83 4x4 with decent body that doesn't run?

Welcome to the forum.

Cost for Toyota's is going to be relevant to your area, here in CA a straight 1st gen needing an engine rebuild/paint/TLC usually runs $2-3K, just seen one needing to be completely reassembled list for $2500.  If it is rust free, straight, and complete, just needing TLC and engine/trans work, $2k or less would be a good deal in today's market.

Thanks for the reference point. I haven't seen it yet. It has some rust in the rear fenders but supposedly not bad and is supposed the be pretty straight. I'll take a look on Sunday.
