A secondary question:  If you had to choose between buying a 5th Gen. Tacoma 4x4 and a late USED late model Tundra to modify, which would you purchase?

Tundra is too big. Limited on after market suspension parts. My 06 taco has 360k on it and still running strong. I put a 2012 grill in it because the other was messed up. I love it.

Do you have a pic with the newer grille?  The po of my 07 had hit a deer and replaced the headlight but left the cracked grille in place.  I haven't got around to replacing it yet...
