1986 runner with start issue

Ok so my brother just did timing chain and water pump on his 1986 runner with 22re .... everything was installed correctdizzy went back in right and new cap rotor plugs n wires ....go to start the truck and it turns over have spark and fires but will not run unless gas is floored as soon as u let off the pedal the truck dies . Pulled the cold start to check fuel and great pressure with strong v shaped spray..... have no clue what it could be any ideas ...

Yep, recheck everything that was unplugged or removed during the t-chain process, if it was running correctly prior to the t-0chain, likely something didn't get plugged back in or got damaged due to age when it was removed.
