code 52

Ive got a 94 toyota pickup 22re 4x4 Im having issues resolving code 52. I saw a guy on here talking about using a gm knock sensor and a resistor. I was wondering if anyone else has tried this and if it will work on my truck.

Just get the right part.

I ended up using a GM knock sensor along with a resistor. My issue was with the 3VZ though. It worked for my issue and haven't had a problem in over 4 years......I saw your PM and will send you a list of the parts I used. Though I don't know if it will be different for the 22re

Thanks for letting me know what engine you did this on willard I will probably just start throwing money at this thing starting with a new knock sensor.
