Herschel and Edna meet Myrtle

To save a you a long, boring, gnarls style read I'm going to shorten this as much as I feel possible. I will warn you. This is built in Eight mile Alabama and fueled by lots of Bud Light.

A friend bought some land. On this land was an old box truck body. He said he wanted to get rid of it.

Meanwhile my friend Gordon (Arizona native who now lives here and we work together) is looking for an in bed camper or something of the sort for when we go riding out of town. We discuss this idea of using this box to house his Sammie and atv. It turns into a few possible plans and then he finds an older 5th wheel for cheap that is partially stripped.

Get both of them and head to the house. Finished stripping the 5er.

Progress being made.

Yesterday Gordo pressure washed the frame of the trailer and got it cleaned up as much as possible. We had rain so no more progress.

Today I painted the frame. It has now become known as Myrtle. Moved it out of the way to dry and wait for the mate to arrive.

Gordo brought over the box. The drivers side has some paint on it reading "Herschel AND Edna".

We take to ole Herschel with some bleach and water. Steam clean it then go after it with aluminum brite and steam clean again. Ran out of Dilly Dilly fuel and decided to call it a night.
