Topic: Marlin Crawler 4.7 t-case to G58 transmission

Hi all. First time poster (obviously). I have what I hope is a fairly simple question. I just ordered a 4.7 gear driven t-case from Marlin crawler with the appropriate adapter for the G58 tranny that's in my 1995 22-RE 4runner. I was wrestling it into place and attempting to bolt to the tranny, but it seems like the oil seal on the out put shaft of the tranny is in the way. I can remove the seal and the t-case seems like it'll slide right in, and the bolt pattern matches, but that'll obviously leave me with out an oil seal. I tried searching the forum and came up empty, so here I am praying that the forum Gods will take pity on me. Thanks a ton in advance for any help!

So if you are adapting a top shift gear drive case to a G58 you are using a 3.0 adapter kit.  That adapter kit should have came with a coupler and seal housing.  You need to remove the seal out of the trans, put the coupler on the output shaft of the transfer case, tap the seal housing into the back of the trans over that, put your trans seal into the seal housing and then mount your tcase with the adapter.
