Downey header for 22RE 4 cylinder from a 1989 4x4
Selling as I’m doing a 3.4 swap

Do they have a CARB EO number?  (do you have sticker?)

Will those fit an 86?

This one is not correct for 85-87 because there's no bung for the o2.  There is a carb number. Search on pirate

It does have a CARB number E.O.#D-165-7 but I can not find the old yellow sticker.

Here is the page from the old Downey catalog for this item.  It is model 17410-88C  '88-95 Header, Ceramic.

I also have the catalitic converter and O2 sensors for my motor (California 1989 22RE)

The Downey catalog list a different part number for the earlier '81-87 models

I had that header years ago it's a good one.

Don't think I need the cat (unless it has a valid EO number for an 86)

The down pipe was cut to fit and welded to header and the cat.  When I removed the bulk of the exhaust I cut the down pipe just below the header and that is what you see in the photo with the cat.  The top angled part of the down pipe was trashed.

 Ok,   I'll take it  ($145 cash  )   don't need cat and pipe.

I did some searching and the difference between the 86 and this one is the O2 sensor placement.     Earlier 22REs didn't have a heated O2 sensor, so it needed to be close to the head.     I retrofitted a heated O2 for my 86.  So O2 will work downstream.

I can either find or make the CARB EO sticker, and deal with the downpipel


I can pick it up at your work location (like I did the anti-roll bar)   2ish    Thursday, Friday or Monday.
