Out of curiosity, what are the differences in the 4 cylinder flywheel options other than the clutch diameter and weight? I just realized that when I swapped motors, I installed an aisin clutch and sachs flywheel for a 1993 but I have since realized that my transmission is not a w56-E but rather a w56-c from a pre-1992 year. I don't think I've noticed any ill effects but I was wondering why they would be different and if one was better, why not just sell the better one?

Please enlighten me!  :dunno: :beerchug:

1.  One or the other might have higher capacity
2.  Poor cross-referencing
3.  To get more money out of you.

I do know items 1-3 happen with an IFS 86 idler arm.....    A later model arm is 1. stronger    2.  fits perfectly      3.  costs less

Pre-93, they mainly had one clutch for the 4 cylinder, unless you had the factory 22RTE.  Which had the slightly (9/16") larger mating surface flywheel, and slightly larger clutch.  But you can put it in any 4 cylinder rig.

93 and on, they just used the Turbo setup, that is all.
