I am wanting to get some lift shackles for my 85 Pickup, currently it has a 4 inch pro comp lift.
I know that lift shackles are not ideal, neither is a bolt on lift! However, I am 17 and don't have the skills nor the money
to do Rears up front and 63's in the rear. I am going to Moab spring break and I would like to get some more ground clearance and maybe flex, I am gonna be getting some 31 inch mud terrains to go with it.

Now, what would be the best lift shackles that I can buy? I would like to buy a kit rather than fab them, I would like to get another inch to two of lift, is this possible with just shackles? I know that pinion angle is an issue, I am fine getting some shims to correct it, Would I see any more flex if at all? At some point I will get to high steer and a real mans lift, but being a senior and soon to be freshman in college, it just isn't feasible right now.

Anyways, thanks so much. If anyone is interested in seeing a topic just on my truck, I would be happy to make one.

There are many good brands of shackles. A lot depends on how big of shackle you are looking for. You said you were running a 4" already and planning on getting 31's. 31's should be easily cleared with a 4" lift. I had a 4" and ran 33's on my 85 ExCab. Never rubbed with stock length shackles.

Yeah, I had 33 yokohama mud terrains that cleared almost perfectly too, the main reason for lift shackles is more clearance and possibly more flex. I want about 2 inches front and rear of more lift.

What brand would you suggest? I looked at low range off road, but theirs aren't for stock leaf bushing size.

Every inch gives you a half inch of lift
