Hi guys! Currently I am in the process of swapping in a 5.9 magnum into a BMW 318i and I was wanting to use a Colorado MA5 Transmission. My original plan was to use a Ax15 or a nv3500 but the shifter is too far forward and the ma5 shifter comes up in the existing hole with a minor amount of trimming. My question is can the ax15 input shaft be swapped out with the MA5. This would make this swap a no brainer if it would. If not possible I welcome any and all suggestions on how to make this fit.

Hi Kerry K,

Gee, I don't know if there are very many Jeep-heads here?  I believe those two transmissions were used in some later model Jeeps.  You might have better luck on a Jeep forum or a Chevy forum for the MA5??

These guys *might* be some help?  http://www.advanceadapters.com/

Are you going to swap in a straight axle front end with manual hubs on that 318i?
