My shop is framed finally.....weather too poor to put the insulation on right now. Hoping we thaw next week. In the mean time I use my garage or work to do what I need but luckily my truck stays on trailer till its time to go.

It tried to melt yesterday, but didn't do much.  There is a quarter inch of ice on top of everything now. Haha. Weather has been terrible this winter.

Great snow in the mountains though. Finally got all my metal moved around to the back but not enough balls to hang it in the snow

So, how often do you Tri-City guys find a good solid 3rd gen without motors?  I know rust isn't an issue in your neck of the woods.  Most of the 3rd gens around here are beat to :pokinit:, and they want mint for them.  Even with out motors.

Well honestly I haven't been paying attention to the 3rd gen stuff. if it's anything like the 1st gen and 4Runner market everyone wants top dollar for there junk.

Cheesemaker

Sorry, I meant 2nd gen.  I had a very long day yesterday at work.  Major shutdown.

I had a friend that used to be on this site, who was a Toyota sleeper.  He would always get in trouble with the city for too many rigs in his yard.  He would post pics of them all, and they all looked to be rust free.  I live on the coast, almost on the beach, which the salt water/air tends to eat rigs.  Especially bodies.  I just want to find a good clean 2nd gen and fit it up.

I actually found a real clean on on clist the other week but I imagine it's gone now.

Cheesemaker

I get that alot.  I see them on CL and by the time I see them they are gone, or there is a race of 4 guys trying to be the first one there.  And I am anywhere from 2 to 3 hours away.

Yeah have to jump on them quick or they are gone. I miss the times when you could find 3-4 good trucks in the classifieds and nobody cared. Haha

Mudder

I went up to spokane to get my 84. The prices people want are crazy in the walla walla tri cities area when I was looking

Yeah they are pretty proud of there junk around here.

Cheesemaker

I have missed some pretty good deals on Marlin Crawler before.  Mainly no tow rig.  But now, my BIL has a spare truck, they are not popping up like they used too.  There is no DEQ where I live, and I would love to find something that has been labeled a gross polluter by CA standards.  Get then cheap, and tow home, and fix up.  I have loaned out my address to many of Portland friends when they have a rig that won't pass smog.   ;)

That photo of your truck - tough or not - shivering under that cold snow is somewhat shameful..... Couldn't you at least  cover it?   :dunno:
