W56 square shifter boot install

Hi, I'm a new member to the forum looking for help installing the trans dust boot. My question is how the boot goes over the shifter, my shifter is 36mm wide? Does it stretch over? thanks

Thanks, was concerned about the second unavailable boot but it stretched without breaking.
