Lift now or in a month or two?
« on: Apr 04, 2005, 09:18:40 PM »
i noticed a super loud grinding in my front end, so I pulled off the drivers side hub and all the rollers from my bearing fellout of the bearings,  :shudder: Oh and guess what those are new bearings not even 500 miles on them :rivers: and they were purchased at shucks. Oh and my brand new shucks power steering pump is leaking from where the two halves are bolted together.

so i am going to deffintally fix my power steering pump but i don't want to waste the 150 bucks on fixing the bearings then in a month or two chopping off all my susp and just wastin that 150 bucks.

quit buyin' parts at sucks!!!  I know dealer parts are way more expensive, but you don't have to repeat the installation 2 weeks after you first put 'em in!

Anyway, if you're gonna cut it all off anyway, just go ahead and cut it off.  You'll be glad you did!

If dad has input, then do what he says.  I wish I listened to my pop more often when I was younger...

Maybe a bearing kit from Marlin?

yes.  alot of people  do the IFS wheel hub conversion  to widen the solid axle.  and they use the same bearings.

If  :turtle: sells the parts you need, any parts, they will likely be cheaper than Toyota and either the identical part or something stronger/better.  I have a friend that actually isn't into wheeling but purchased  :turtle: transmission bearings because they were so much cheaper than the dealer.  He didn't realize that he was likely also getting better parts.
