Transmission identification

Just bought these from a guy who swears they are both w58s, problem is the shiny one i don't think is? It's missing the middle rib on the left side of the case and it also has a 4 bolt shifter vs the 6. Clearly the dirty one is a w58 with the standard 6 bolt shifter.

Does anyone know what the shiny one is? He did say he bent that shifter like that so that's not factory.

looks like a G58. I don't think they made W58 transmissions?

See I thought g series as well but I couldn't find a single picture of a g series 2wd that has a 4 bolt shifter. Was either a 4wd with 4 bolt shifter or it has a rail housing with a 6 bolt shifter.
