OK I've been wanting to wheel this Compressor trail for some time now.  Finally scouted the trail head this summer.  I was thinking a few of us could meet and wheel this thing the weekend of June 24-25.  Edit:  Looking at the 1st and 2nd of July instead.

I know there is always a lot going but this is one of those epic obscure trails that I think is worth a weekend trip.  If I plan a run I will be socially obligated to make it, so I will get to go wheeling which is also good!

SqWADoosh [04:19 PM]: *sigh* I guess Chris is right and I just need to wait until I'm in a place where I have a tow rig and trailer before I get this caliber of truck
Mudder [08:28 PM]:   not try to be a jerk, but are you serious bestgen?
Prismo [06:11 PM]:   Done, time to relax or as Bestgen says....FREEDOM!
HogCanyonHopper [06:54 PM]:   I like my little rod. it gets the job done
H8PVMNT [03:30 PM]: I can go both ways.

As it turns out that is a bad weekend for me too because we have this huge town shindig that we always have to do something for.  How about the 1st and 2nd of July?

This trail is right next to Mullan, ID.  This is about 6 hours from Seattle area FYI.  About 7 hours from Portland.

Are any of These trails close?
Sure would be cool to hit more than one trail if we are doing 4th of July weekend.
Are there any other trails up there or that we could drive to for a second day of wheeling?
Make the Most of everybody time together.
I believe I will come for June 30th to July 4th.

I think those trails are in southern Idaho.  Compressor is up in the panhandle north Idaho.  There isn't really any quick way to get south as far as I know but it doesn't mean you couldn't to  do it.

How many rigs total are you thinking for this adventure.  :driving:

Oh maybe minimum of 4, maximum of 12.  I would probably run compressor with just one good second rig though.

Strongly suggest you cap it at 6.

Yes I know what you mean.  Any more and it's hard to get anything done.  I doubt I'll get to many takers though due to the location and the fact that it's a one day trail.

With common sense in mind though, you are right, so tentatively we will cap at 6 rigs  -give or take :).

If things go according to the current plan I should be in Colorado the last week in June and specifically in the San Juan mountains this weekend. I may try to squeeze the Sequoia over Black Bear Pass. I just realized the date conflicts with this trip.

That is no good.
Maybe Consider the browns camp trip as an option?

Probably not.  This trip caught my attention for some reason...

Well we could kick this back a week or two, say July 15-16 or even July 29-30.  I want to make a solid date but we can keep it in flux for a little while if it means somebody can go that wants to.

I guess the tow other solids need to weigh in on it...

My Colorado trip will be something like 10 days so either date is probably too close for another trip for both time and cash flow reasons.

I may be coming from the East with one or two guys.  I think if we can get to the Cour de Alene, ID area Friday evening we could wheel the trail Saturday.  Depending on how we are doing we could mess around more in the area on Sunday.  There is a ORV area in the woods outside of Spokane that I have been to that would offer a bit of low impact fun.  I may take an extra day on one or both ends if I am doing good on vacation time by then.

If you guys really want to get crazy we could shoot into Montana and wheel the Wild Bill/Blacktail Trail over by Kalispell but it would add a couple days.  There is certainly more in southern Idaho we could find as well.
