So mom bought herself a rig

And even better, I drove it the 50 miles home from where she purchased it and aside from a whacky wobble at 25-30mph, it drives pretty nicely.
She got an '84 Toyota single cab. It's sitting on 38's easily, but it still has stock steering. The plan is to have it ready for MCR this year, but it needs hi-steer and a cage at least around the cab as Katie will be joining us. Ideally we would like to put a flatbed on it, but we are still ironing out our priorities. The tcase is stock, but I know it's possible to wheel on stock gears - but it sure would be nice to get a crawler in there!
We definitely want to downsize the tires since we are running stock axles, so we are looking to trade the 38" TSL SX's for a 35-37 with a less aggressive tread. We are looking for a front bumper, hi-steer components, cage, flatbed, gears, you name it.
Any insight is welcome! Pics to come.....
