I really like the idea but have heard of quite a few catastrophic failures of them.

Pile of from all the research I've done. Witnessed a few of them in action. Fuel economy is nothing like advertised. They tow decent to be a half ton truck, for the price however you can get a real diesel with less bells and whistles on the interior. Just my $.02, I was debating buying on at the beginning of this year. Obviously I decided against it.
