Dana 300 t case questions
« on: Apr 19, 2016, 01:50:22 AM »
Just finished doing chevy/rufs and hi steer on my 85 4runner project and before I get a longer drive shaft made, I was thinking about doing a dual t case so I don't have to change my driveshaft's later on. My question is what will I need other than the driveshaft adapter from advance adapters, to run a dana 300 behind a toy case. How hard is this set up to run? What kind of crossmember options do I have? Is it hard to make a custom crossmember? Thanks in advance

Personally I'd just run a toyota doubler.

To answer your question. Shifters for the d300 will get ugly in a small tpyota cab unless you do cables  ($$$). You will also need to source the OTT or AA adapter to mate the two. ($$$) You will have to fab up a cross member due to the d300 being designed to be "free hanging" behind whatever jeep it was originally in as the trans cross member did the work. Not too hard to build a cross member, the front dig would be awesome.

I have plenty of metal to fab up a crossmember. What's the best d300 to run, out of which jeep? We have a ton of jeeps here at my local junkyard I'm sure I can source one easily
