So my brake shoes on the rear look brand new so I just left them alone and tightened the adjuster's 10 clicks. Hope I didn't do too much. The e brake level feels better, but I still think it goes too high to hold the car

Are the self adjusters in correctly?    (maybe they were switched side to side)

they seem like they are in there properly..... and they do click the right way, and won't unscrew themselves

maybe I am just paranoid, and the cable has stretched? it is 13 years old

seems to drive fine..... and I tested them out, did some starts are stops with just the e brake from 25 mph.... could lock them up, or do it soft.... no weird smells or smoke.....
