1995 4Runner Chain Driven T-Case Swap
« on: Jan 28, 2016, 06:32:12 PM »
I have a built 1995 4Runner 3.0 5 speed manual with a solid axle swap. I am just about complete with this rig except for the transfer case swap. After reading forums, I am certain that this vehicle came with the chain drive transfer case. I want to purchase a 23 spline gear driven t-case with 4.1 but am confused on which one to get..... can I get the top shift model or do I need the forward shift and if so, do I need the 4 or 4.5" offset? I have already purchased a FROR T-Case cross member. I will also need the 3.0 adapter.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

PS When will MC have single cases back in stock? I cannot click on the single case lineups.....

Thanks

Joe

your trans is a r150f. you will need a 88-95, 3.0 transmission to gear drive t case adapter, which marlin sells, when using the adapter, it requires you to use a topshift t case, as far as gears, marlin offers 4.7 gears, if you have a forward shift t case now, you can buy a topshift conversion kit
