oops...knew you were working on one mod from reading on the yabbse site!  lol  And that's one of the mods I liked too from SP1.1

The Bold Posts mod is a great one....highlights/changes the color of any thread topic you've posted to.  Allows you to keep track of what threads you've replied to, so you can either track the conversation more easily or know you've posted and don't need to again.  A GREAT mod that I relied on in the SP1.1 version.

I'm a mod idiot...hugely...lol

OH OH OH....very kewl...

The only Mod on mine (so far) is to rework the "markread" in the messageindex to return you to the boardindex and not just refresh the page.

Let me know when beta testers are needed... ;)

hey bigmike, is there anyway to tell when you got bad Karma, I see I'm up to minus one, could it have been all my bad technical advice? Or all my trash talking? just curious...

I have no idea. I think people just smite at random depending on their mood. I know that when ever I see someone giving good advise or help I always applaud them :)

Well...... It's supposed to list the members in order as they registered which means that my user name BigMike should be the second member but instead I'm user #122.

What happened is that when I converted the board to this new version in June/July, it alphabetically sorted all of the users names and because the counter goes by order of user name (which I think is poor programming) the numbers got all messed up. If you look on the members page, I think like after page 11 or so you hit the 'Z' -named members and then the names are all random -- or rather IN ORDER as those new members have registered. So somewhere above User #1200 or so the numbers really are in order.

I had planned to change the script to compare users by "Date Registered" since this makes more since to me, but scripting php is much harder than cgi/perl, especially since I don't know how to do it. It's much harder to learn on the fly.

Yeah, I've been watching that...also watching http://www.supermod.org pretty close....I know I'll be updating my software sometime in early 2004 too!

Ok guys, I have started work on upgrading this Forum, and I hope to get everything updated over this weekend.

I do want to change the theme here to reflect the main website (while maintaing the light coloring) but I am not sure if I will get that done as well or not.

Al right guys, I am still on track to update the forum this Saturday. I will be doing a lot of work and testing of some new features during the day, and once I get everything running smoothly (on a test forum that no one knows about), then I will upload all of the new files to this forum, which will require me to temporally shut down the forum for a bit. So I will try to do that very late at night or really early Sunday morning.

Well, I have the new forum software up and running on a test server, but because it is a large upgrade to version 1.1 from 1.0.6, both the Magic Turtles and the Shout! Box are not working.....

I can live without the Magic Turtles but the Shout Box is an essential feature of the Marlin Crawler Forum and I am trying everything I can to get it to work.

I'll report back to let you know how its coming along. I am really sick of this forum and all of the troubles its been giving us. I can wait to get the new version changed over

Let me know if I am clearly missing something here, but I do not see any Karma points anywhere. I miss the turtles but they caused a lot of distractions on the board. I am using Firefox, could this be a reason I don't notice a lot of these changes or am I just blind?
