Better deal than I got!!  But how did you come up with $427 for a price?  Who's rig was that, cause it looks familiar?

well its a pretty good deal so far.... it got traded in at my dealership, after they got all / or most there crap out of it i took a look at it... drove it around to our lot (because it was so nasty inside i was the only one who would drive it lol)... then told em 300 and not a penny more, soo 300 it was and 127 worth of fees (title transfer bla bla bla)...

so far Ive found that 3 spark plugs were cross threaded, along with 3 of the plug wires broke when i removed em from the plugs, and the valve covers leak oil onto the manifolds, and a toasted tie rod end.... FUN stuff

After running up and over hwy 6 today with my quad in tow i am seriously disappointed with the performance of the 3.slow, i am going to go drive a friends tomorrow to find out if there is something wrong with mine or if they are just really THAT gutless, i swear that my 85 with 22r, 33's, and 5.29s has more power towing my quad (would imagine it would be the gearing) but even unloaded the thing seems worthless.....

Its my first 3.0 so im "learning"...and hell even with 225k the things still got 170-180psi compression, pretty damn good

I know about a dozen of those little waterfalls.   Up the Kilchis?  I know there is one way up the mainline after Smith Wright Rd.

Wow, you got some pictures without it raining!

well as some may know im in the process of re-powering a 22r to repalace the one in my runnner that was maken a clunk clunk clunk sound....

Im in a slow period of the build waiting for a hone to crosshatch the cylinders.  So i pulled the old engine out of the truck and started striping the parts off of it that i need for the new engine.  Of course i also was curious to what i destroyed....

Here is what i found

#2 cylinder had a spun rod bearing. rod is prob toast, crank looked ok......

Well i wast happy with this becuase of the sound the engine was making, it just was to loud to be a spun rod....
so further i dig to #3 cylinder.....HOLY GOD lol

There was absolutely no bearing material left, assuming rod and crank are prob toast, may be able to grind it...

strange thing is, it still had awesome oil pressure, im assuming the port right under the oil filter is prob not the best for the oil pressure gauge now..... I think im going to put it in the factory gauge position lol...

been a while since i posted pics here....   Got my engine rebuilt, ported the head AND intake, and installed a engbldr cam. . . makes good usable low end power....

also did some work on the front suspension, threw some 14"shocks on there... Made my own crossover steering. none of that highsteer for me LOL

some "testing" the way that i like it.....

And i would like to point out....  That when you forget to fully weld a shock mount..  That i have confermed it takes three trips to browns camp for it to break off. lol

Did the 3 slow improve?  I had one for a bit and I didn't actually mind it too much.  Not a racer but alot stronger than the few 22r, res Ive had.  I like your steering solution and redneck skills.  Nice runner.

Awesome rig! Love the Oldschool solid front 4runners. They are becoming hard to come by here.
I'm running the same shock towers but I bolted them on and I have to tighten them every 20 or so trips
