Badland Bumpers - Let the Buyer BEWARE
« on: Mar 01, 2005, 04:45:47 PM »
As I stated on this post in its original form, if this was resolved I would edit the post.  Please see my last post on 3-18-05 for an explanation.

I wish Jeff and Badlands all the best of luck for the future.

I hope so.  Customer service poor businesses need to stay $$$ poor so they go out of business.

I have known jeff for a couple of years and never had a problem. He is very stand up guy and I know HE WILL MAKE THIS RIGHT. He has built a couple bumpers for me and some of my friends.

I just got off the phone with him and got the whole story behind the decline in workmanship and service. he told me i could post it, but i do not like spreading peoples lives over the internet.

i can say that things are looking up and he is back!!!!

Please give him another chance. HE WILL COME THROUGH!!!!!

Take this for it is worth.

Jeff sent me an email last night that I received this morning and he again said he would make it right however I wanted to resolve it.  I responded to his email, so we shall see as the ball is in his court...

good luck man, i just make my own. the rear bumper i made for the 89 suburban i used to have weighed about 200lbs, solid as hell but i needed it tho. i got rearended at a red light at over 40mph, did not a damn thing to my bumper. 1/2inch center plate with 3/8 inch pipes on sides. looked like a ranch hand bumper

I know for a fact that Jeff is getting email as he responded to a friend's inquiry just this morning at 2:00 a.m. Seems he is plenty able to respond to folks whom he hasn't got their money yet.

Well, Jeff has said he is refunding my money via a check and that it was going in the mail this week...I have my doubts considering all the rumors I've heard from others on various forums via emails and PMs, but I am hopeful...I'll keep you posted.

In the meantime, you are a fool if you even consider buying anything from this guy, hardluck story or not, right now his business/life are in the crapper.  I can appreciate some of you guys who are defending him as his friends, so be a friend and loan him some money to pay me!  :king:

03-18-05 Update

Great news.

I got my full refund check today...price of the front bumper plus shipping, so I am out no money for the front bumper and the one I currently have I can keep.

I will say that I talked with Jeff via email several times the past few days and I can understand why he has been slack in getting this handled as he was dealing w/ life issues that make bumpers unimportant.  Doesn't mean I like what happened, but I can at least understand why now.

Jeff told me that he has built about 550 bumpers and only 3 have ever been replaced or rebuilt, the last 2 of these were welded up by the guy he fired for poor quality work, 1 or which was mine, the other a guy in NC.  I think his percentage is still pretty good for making a quality bumper.

I am glad that Jeff made things right and I hope that he gets things back on track with his life and Badland Bumpers business.  I wish him all the best.
